- Can't Beat It For The Price
I've been using a high-quality bag for years, but have been looking for a backpack. When I found this one I was quick to pull the trigger. I haven't used it on a course yet, but it holds 20 discs with the 2 dividers inserted and a few more can be added. It is stable; not prone to tipping over. The putter pocket on the top holds two no problem, and a third can be added although for me that gets a little tight. It does not have a mini pocket, but I found space for two behind the bottom plate at the back of the pack, and they can't be felt when I'm wearing the bag. I added a large carabiner on the top handle to hold a towel. The two side pockets are the same size, both 8" in depth (front to back) although the opening of the left pocket is smaller to provide room for the water bottle holder. As a result the bag carries everything I want for a round of DG. I also added a piece of cardboard beneath the bottom plate for additional stability and perhaps less wear--did that with my previous bag, too, and I think it helped. The bag does not have feet on the bottom, but neither did my old bag, and I used it for 7 years with no wear. So I'm not worried about the BP-3 wearing out, but if it does, at this price I can buy a new bag each year. At first I omitted installing the dividers, which attach via hook & loop to the bottom plate. But unless the bag was relatively full, my discs fell over. Then I tried the dividers, and now if I want to play a round with fewer discs, which I do with some DB partners, the ones I carry will remain upright and easy to grab. The back and shoulder straps are padded and ventilated for air circulation. Before making the purchase it occurred to me that if the bag were flimsy, cheap, or nonfunctional, Prodigy would not add their name to it, but it's right there front and center. Can't ask for more for $30.
