Below is the bio for Seth Munsey of Disc Golf Strong and what he will be able to bring to the table for your disc golf game.
Seth Munsey- Strength and Conditioning
As the founder and owner of Disc Golf Strong, Seth works with all levels of golfers from the rec player to the touring pro, providing both in-season and offseason information and training to help them play at the top of their game.
During the 2017 offseason, Seth worked with pros including:
- Ricky Wysocki
- Paige Pierce
- Sarah Hokom
- Madison Walker
- Eric Oakley
- Tina Stanaitis
He developed training plans for each of them, allowing them to fully prepare for the 2018 touring season.
Seth received his BS in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) with a focus in Strength and Conditioning from Cal State Fullerton where he graduated at the top of his class. After graduating, Seth was certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
He worked with the Anaheim Ducks as their Strength Coach Intern for the 2011/12 season, working with players to keep them strong and healthy during the season, as well as, during the offseason to help them prepare for the future.
It was during a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor course with the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) in 2009 that Seth found his passion for working with rotational athletes.
He also owned a fitness training center for 4 years, yet closed it in April 2016 to focus on Disc Golf Strong full-time and spend more quality time with his wife and two daughters.
Seth also travels and teaches certifications and workshops for two fitness organizations as an Instructor for Original Strength and Master Instructor for DVRT Ultimate Sandbags.
He is also certified by the Russian Kettlebell Challenge (RKC) as a Kettlebell Instructor and has assisted with multiple certifications helping train future instructors.
